We continue to pray for sister Reba Massey and Vicki Walker for improved health and healing, Praying for all our members/relatives fighting cancer: Anceo Francisco, Carla Burdine, Brittney Hadley, Gail Hadley, Josephine McCleary, mother to sister Kim Smith, and her sister Deborah McCleary; LaJuana Celestine, pray for the Cowen family, especially his son and family who had to flee the war in the middle east. They have arrived safely, and are currently residing at the Cowen’s home. Praying for those grieving, with the loss of friends and family. Praying for all those with financial needs due to the economy, furloughs, layoffs or suffering from new policy cuts to services.

Silver Chalice Ministry
Pastor Jackson would like all of the members interested in the senior ministry to stay after church. We would like to get everyone’s names, who would like to participate and to discuss the group trips we might be interested in taking this summer, thanks to the new grant we were awarded for our Silver Chalice ministry. Please stay for a short meeting immediately following service this morning . Thank You, Pastor Jackson .
May 3, First Sunday 9am- Graduation Breakfast
Jasmine Vick- Senior at Carl Albert High School. Yasmine has been accepted at Tuskegee University with a Major in Psychology. Yas will be leaving for school August 11. She has a college wish list that we will post, if you would like to help her get ready for this new stage of life, please check her list of needed items.
Ariana Bradley is graduating from Langston University with a Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. Ariana will be moving to Kansas City, Missouri where she will follow in her mothers’ footsteps, as a Teacher for Teachers.
Please make plans to come out and support and celebrate with our graduates and their families. Congratulations to you both!!!

Disciple Women’s Fellowship
Disciple Women will be hosting a Movie Premiere outing for “Joshua”, May 16, 2026 at 4:30 pm . University of Central Oklahoma . Sister Karrie has provided everyone with their tickets. We will meet at 4 pm , so we can be seated together as a group. If you have any questions, please see sister Karrie at the greeters table.

Anniversary” Worthy Thirty” Banquet– Huey Long Community Center 4505 SE 15th, Del City, Ok October 3rd 6pm-9pm – Tickets on sale now. Dinner ticket must be paid no later than September 15, 2026

It will be open seating but you can reserve a table top of 6.

ESSCC Food Pantry
Sister Tina and Sister Gloria are available after church each Sunday for anyone in need of food items .
The Church Ministry Serving schedule and Upcoming Events flyers are posted on the website. The successful operation of our church is dependent upon all of us making plans to attend and participate, in all meetings, rehearsals and events , to ensure that we, at East Sixth Street are giving God our very best effort. Let’s prioritize Gods work in 2026 and teach our children to do the same. “Only what we do for God will last.”

Wednesday Night Bible Study takes place every Wednesday at 7pm.

ESSCC Food Pantry
We are in need of donations to rebuild our pantry and freezer items. If you have non perishable items or freezer vegetables, please bring them and leave in the kitchen for sister Tina and Gloria . They will be available after church each Sunday for anyone in need of food items . If you are aware of people in the community who may need help, have them reach out to sister Tina so she can make arrangements to meet them at the church. Please pray for all of those in need during this difficult time. Thank you for any help you can give.

Young Adults fellowship
The next meeting will be Saturday, May 23 from 6-7:30 pm at Chef Y’s Sweet Shoppe, 1013 NE 4th St Unit G 105 A on “Spiritual Burnout: Serving God but Running on Empty.” Join us for honest conversations and real renewal!
It’s natural to be overwhelmed by life in general, from time to time. But what do you do when your tired is TIRED, and how can exhaustion affect us when it comes to serving God? If you’ve ever wondered about any of this, you’re not alone! Join us for an honest and refreshing conversation about spiritual burnout, where we’ll explore how to find true rest, renewal, and strength in God again. Come as you are—this is a space for real talk, encouragement, and restoration.

Disciple Women’s fellowship
Sister LaKeisha Lewis is our Chairperson and sister Kim Smith is our assistant Chairperson of ESSCC Disciples Women Fellowship. Sister Karrie Harris is our treasurer and her assistant treasurer is Sister Sheila Jones. Cynthia Clegg has agreed to be our DWF secretary . Brittney Houston and Michell Eike have agreed to be communication coordinators.
Children’ s Church
We have two group of children for Sunday Children’s Church. PreK- 3rd grade and 4th grade through 6th grade. (12 years and under)- we will not be working with toddlers at this time. We will ask one Teen to help with the younger class each Sunday.

We will continue to be on Facebook Live. We are still needing someone to volunteer to coordinate Zoom for Wednesday Night Bible Study . See Pastor Jackson if you are interested.
