Lift up Centennial Christian Church and Union Avenue Christian Church in St. Louis, their ministries, and their neighborhoods. The churches suffered major damage in recent storms. Pray for healing for those injured. Pray for strength, and comfort, particularly for the family and friends of Patricia Penelton who was killed at Centennial Church. Pray for Leslie Green (friend of Benny), who had a terrible motorcycle accident this week. Shaleana Johnson, niece of Sister Carmen Jackson passed away recently. Please pray for the family. Prayers requested by Rev. Sherri Dickerson for her daughter’s recovery and sister Reba following surgery. Prayers for Tony and Andre Francisco, who are both recovering, as well as for their families. Prayers for Sister Vikki and family as she recovers from surgery. Pray for the family of Sheila Jones’ aunt, Laura Johnson, who recently passed away. Sister Carmen is healing well. Pray for her and her family. Brittney Hadley is at home recovering and appreciates continued prayer. Sister Howard continues to recover at home. Praying for all our members fighting cancer: Brittney Hadley, Gail Hadley, Josephine McCleary, mother to sister Kim Smith, and her sister Deborah McCleary, and Elder Marvin Fisher. Join us each Wednesday at 7 p.m. Sister Rosa will offer dinner on the first and third Wednesdays.
St Louis church disaster
Centennial Christian Church in St. Louis sustained catastrophic damage this week when part of its building collapsed. Tragically, one member lost their life in the building collapse, and two others were injured.
Union Avenue Christian Church also experienced major damage. It houses Be the Neighbor and the National Benevolent Association, which now face possible disruption due to the storm. Please PRAY and, if possible give to Week of Compassion, which is responding and providing support.
Pastor Jackson will be speaking at the Oklahoma Baptist State Congress of Christian Education on Monday, June 2 at 3:45 p.m. at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 1020 NE 42nd St.

With so many respiratory and other illnesses circulating, we are strongly encouraging everyone to wear a mask. Oklahoma and Texas are recording increased hospitalization cases. Let’s all be careful and considerate of each other.
Disciple women’s fellowship
Sister LaKeshia Lewis is our new Chairperson and sister Kim Smith is our new assistant Chairperson of ESSCC Disciples Women Fellowship. Sister Karrie Harris is our new treasurer and her assistant treasurer is Sister Sheila Jones. Cynthia Clegg has agreed to be our DWF secretary . Brittney Houston and Michell Eike have agreed to take on our new position, as communication coordinators.
We have two group of children for Sunday Children Church. PreK- 3rd grade and 4th grade through 6th grade. (12 years and under)- we will not be working with toddlers at this time. We will ask one Teen to help with the younger class each Sunday.
Pine Street is now working on getting enough people to follow their Facebook page so they can broadcast their worship service live as well. Please go to “Pine Street Christian” and hit the follow button. They need our support; that was once us, at the beginning of Covid. Thank you for your help.
First Sunday Breakfast and T-shirt Sunday 1st and 3rd Sunday. Thank you Sister Rosa!
In-person Bible Study here in the fellowship hall at each Wednesday Night 7pm. First and third Wednesday Night, sister Rosa will be preparing dinner at 6:30pm before Bible Study.
We will continue to be on Facebook Live. We are still needing someone to volunteer to coordinate Zoom for Wednesday Night Bible Study . See Pastor Jackson if you are interested.
