Black Heritage Kwanzaa Presentations
Our Youth Kwanzaa table display and celebration will take place on a Sunday, February 8. Immediately following Sunday Service. Please see the schedule on the bulletin board and work with our children to learn this vital principals to improve themselves and our community.
ESSCC Food Pantry
Sister Tina and Sister Gloria are available after church each Sunday for anyone in need of food items .
Disciple Women’s Fellowship
We are still collecting coats for the homeless and working poor, all sizes are needed. Men and women sizes are the priority. They will be give out by Naomi Jackson at the North Care Community Health Center. Leave the coats in the box in the Fellowship Hall. Thank you!
Disciple women want to thank Minister sister Stephanie Parker for the tons of donated children’s coats from the Edmond Bus barn, and our esscc members who have take bags of coats home to wash and distribute.
The next Disciple Women’s Fellowship meeting will be February 21 at 11 a.m.
Young Adult Study, Food & Fellowship-
Young Adults fellowship will be held Saturday, January 31 from 6-7:30pm at Chef Y’s Sweet Shoppe located at 1013 NE 4th St., unit G 105A. January’s Theme is “Trusting God’s Plan When The Process Doesn’t Seem to be Processing”. For study scriptures and video study clips please see Sis. VaRhea. We are looking forward to this time and you are more than welcome to join us! The Monthly meeting will be held the last Saturday of each month Jan-May, 6:00-7:30 PM., at the same location unless something comes up at the last minute. There will be a different schedule/activity for summer that’s in the works . More TBA.
As we strive to improve our church communicate and commitment in 2026, we have created and posted our church Sunday schedule , as well as, a new flyer for Ministry meetings and Music Department Rehearsals . The operation of our church is dependent upon all of us making plans to attend and participate, in meetings and rehearsals, to ensure that we at East Sixth Street are giving God our very best effort. Let’s prioritize Gods work in 2026 and teach our children to do the same. “Only what we do for God will last.”
Reminder
First Sunday Breakfast and T-shirt and Wednesday Night Bible Study Dinner is provided on the 1st and 3rd Sunday morning and Wednesday night , respectively. Thank you Sister Rosa!
Wednesday Night Bible Study takes place every Wednesday at 7pm. Lets make a commitment to study Gods word in 2026.

Save the date for this spirit filled worship opportunity – June 11-14, 2026 in Dallas, Texas. Stay Tuned. We hope to take a bus from Oklahoma .

ESSCC Food Pantry
We are in need of donations to rebuild our pantry and freezer items. If you have non perishable items or freezer vegetables, please bring them and leave in the kitchen for sister Tina and Gloria . They will be available after church each Sunday for anyone in need of food items . If you are aware of people in the community who may need help, have them reach out to sister Tina so she can make arrangements to meet them at the church. Please pray for all of those in need during this difficult time. Thank you for any help you can give.

Disciple women’s fellowship
Sister LaKeisha Lewis is our Chairperson and sister Kim Smith is our assistant Chairperson of ESSCC Disciples Women Fellowship. Sister Karrie Harris is our treasurer and her assistant treasurer is Sister Sheila Jones. Cynthia Clegg has agreed to be our DWF secretary . Brittney Houston and Michell Eike have agreed to be communication coordinators.
Children’ s Church
We have two group of children for Sunday Children’s Church. PreK- 3rd grade and 4th grade through 6th grade. (12 years and under)- we will not be working with toddlers at this time. We will ask one Teen to help with the younger class each Sunday.

We will continue to be on Facebook Live. We are still needing someone to volunteer to coordinate Zoom for Wednesday Night Bible Study . See Pastor Jackson if you are interested.
