WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Pastor Appreciation committee will sell Indian Tacos on September 6. They will be taking pre-orders. You can purchase an Indian Taco and a soda for $8. There will be desserts available for separate purchases. See one of the committee members to purchase your ticket in advance. Training Seminar Sept 20th
Save the Date: 5th Sunday Convocation (OCMF) will be holding a training seminar on September 20, 2025 at Wildewood Christian Church. Pastor Jackson will be leading a workshop at this event. Time is 9:00am- 1:30pm. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. This seminar is made available by a grant from Oklahoma Disciples Foundation. We want to show them that we have used the money wisely with good attendance.
Oklahoma Disciples Women’s retreat October 3-4
Oklahoma Disciples Women will have a retreat at Camp Christian in Chouteau, OK on October 3-4. Scholarship applications must be received by Sept 12 and On-line registration must be received by September 22. Look for more information at the welcome table in the fellowship hall!
Pastor Appreciation
This year we will celebrate the Pastor and First Lady’s 29th Anniversary. The date is October 12, 2025.
This year we will have one service during the morning worship hour. We hope to have a few of our other Christian Disciples worship with us from other churches.
We are asking each member to give $85 if they can. If you don’t have the $85, please give a love offering. You can put your offering in an envelope and designate “Pastor’s Anniversary” or you can bring your card and offering at a special time at the end of the service that Sunday morning.
We look forward to honoring our pastor and first lady to say “thank you” for all they do.
Young Adult Bible study
Young Adult Bible study will be taking place on the first and third Sundays at 9 a.m.

Community Resources
The Tri-City Youth and Family Center offers evaluation and diagnostics (mental health assessments and substance abuse assessments), counseling services (individualized therapy, family therapy, group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, DUE and Drug Court Program, and wellness services), and outreach (behavioral health screens, DUI assessments, first time offender program, life skills program, and afterschool camp).
Breast Cancer Awareness – Free or Low Cost Mammograms
Healthy Start is a free program dedicated to reducing disparities in maternal and infant health. It is for expecting mothers/fathers and or mothers/fathers with a child 18 months or younger, living in Oklahoma or Pottawatomie County.
Healthy Start offers many classes, case management, a baby boutique, and more at three locations in OKC and Shawnee. Click above for more information.

Disciple women’s fellowship
Sister LaKeisha Lewis is our Chairperson and sister Kim Smith is our assistant Chairperson of ESSCC Disciples Women Fellowship. Sister Karrie Harris is our treasurer and her assistant treasurer is Sister Sheila Jones. Cynthia Clegg has agreed to be our DWF secretary . Brittney Houston and Michell Eike have agreed to be communication coordinators.
Children’ s Church
We have two group of children for Sunday Children’s Church. PreK- 3rd grade and 4th grade through 6th grade. (12 years and under)- we will not be working with toddlers at this time. We will ask one Teen to help with the younger class each Sunday.
First Sunday Breakfast and T-shirt Sunday 1st and 3rd Sunday. Thank you Sister Rosa!
We will continue to be on Facebook Live. We are still needing someone to volunteer to coordinate Zoom for Wednesday Night Bible Study . See Pastor Jackson if you are interested.
