East Sixth Street Christian Church is located in the shadows of the State Capitol in the historic “JFK neighborhood.”

Each Sunday, East Sixth Street offers worship service at 10:00 am. Service is filled with soul stirring gospel music and dynamic biblical preaching and teaching from Senior Pastor, Jesse Jackson Jr.

Sunday school breakfast/ T-shirt casual Sunday  is 1st & 3rd Sunday with morning breakfast served at 9:30am.  Children’s church is offered during morning service for children 2- 4th grades. The nursery is available for children, ages newborn to first grade.

Don’t forget to join us for Adult Bible Study each Wednesday night; 6:30 for dinner (1st & 3rd Wednesday) and 7 pm Bible study. Teen Bible Study each Thursday night at 6:30pm.

The Young Adults have a prayer group where contemporary issues of life are discussed and encouragement given.
