Ministries

Share your talents in any of our many ministries or help start a new ministry to serve new or unmet needs of our congregation or community.

Usher/Greeter Ministry:

Ushers are much more than God’s Doorkeepers, they are often the first line of hospitality. Worship is more inviting, and more welcoming when a friendly servant of the lord is assisting in taking care of the needs of the congregation. The Usher Ministry is a wonderful way to serve the Lord and meet and greet the congregation.

Greeters help to create a warm, caring and positive environment for our church members, visitors and friends. Greeters are often the first people you meet upon entering our church. In addition, to greeting everyone with a smile and “Good morning/afternoon/evening, greeters answer questions, help distribute church bulletins and provide directions to the various areas of our church (sanctuary, children church, fellowship hall, nursery etc.)

Music/Praise Ministry:

The goal of the music ministry is to produce faithful, effective Ambassadors of the gospel of Jesus. This ministry includes teaching songs and some music theory, while developing dependability and commitment to God and God’s Church. Recognizing that creative talents are a gift from the Holy Spirit, it is our challenge to utilize those gifts in the most professional manner, so that the gospel of Jesus Christ, God may be glorified.

Fine Arts Ministry:

The Fine Arts ministry provides children and adults the opportunity to share their talents through song, expressive dance or theatrical productions.

Disciple Women’s Fellowship:

The purpose of the Disciples Women’s fellowship is to provide spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to the women of the congregation and community. This ministry’s goal is to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the church of Jesus Christ. Also, to provide a channel through which women in the congregation may participate on a Regional level and in the many Disciple Women Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. When we are joined in fellowship with our sisters, the entire Kingdom of God is blessed. As Women Of God, we are supportive of each other, caring and compassionate. We are obedient to the Ministry of our church and are always available. The time we have together is always informative, joyful and fun- you will be truly blessed. Join Us. Every woman is considered a part of this ministry and you are invited to join us for study, fellowship and service!

Disciple Men’s Fellowship:

Ministering to the unique needs of men in the church, enabling them to fulfill their potential as servants of God, and strengthening the total ministry of the church.
The Disciples Men ministry is a ministry of fellowship, study, and service addressing the unique needs of men. Based on Proverbs 27:17 “Iron Sharpens Iron”, this ministry engages men in monthly discussion and study group, fellowship opportunities, unique events and of course, service to our community. We are men encouraging one another and holding each other accountable to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every man in our church is considered a member and we look forward to seeing you at our next gathering.

Disciple Youth Fellowship:

children and youth are not only our future, they are our NOW.
